Paula Johnson-Irby

Paula is  native to the Hampton Roads area, specifically Chesapeake.  She was licensed in Virginia in 1990.   She worked in banking and with a residential designer for many years before entering real estate and is familiar with financing, new construction and blue prints.  After working with several developers in the past five or six years, her love of
seeing raw land become a wonderful neighborhood is one of her favorite things along with representing builders.

Business:  Paula began her business career in banking in 1970.  During her years in the Commercial Loan Department she worked with real estate attorneys, builders and developers, having a connection with real estate.  After taking a hiatus to raise her children, she worked part-time with a residential designer and builder.  She has experience on new construction sites, overseeing subcontractors.

Designations:  Paula is an ABR (Accredit Buyer Representative) as well as a SRES (Senior Real Estate Specialist).  She is currently working towards receiving her Eco-Broker Designation for knowledge of "GREEN" building and environmentally friendly and energy efficient aspects of real estate. 

Personal:  Paula is the mother of two sons and one stepdaughter.  She works with Donn, her husband, on the Home-Specialists team.  She is in several extra-curricular groups who service the community and loves to read and play golf.   She feels that being part of this team is an extremely special privilege.  Everyone works so well together to serve our clients/customers and make homebuying or selling a pleasant experience.  We all love seeing people´s dreams become a reality.

 
 

SUSAN MEDLIN

Susan is a native of North Carolina where she worked  at Duke Medical Center for nine years as a phlebotomy instructor. She was also a part time real estate broker. The wife of Mike Medlin, Regional Credit Manager for MarMax corporation,she ia a mother of  two and  has been living in the Hampton Roads area since 1998 and considers it home .She was introduced to Donn by way of a  referral from a past client. She started  looking to purchase a home and was impressed with Donn  because of his experience, energy and enthusiasm.  This experience lead her to becoming a member of the home-specialists team.

                       

Susan  acquired her real estate license in October of 2001 and is now working as a licensed assistant and closing coordinator. Her experience  with the people of Hampton roads has been a very pleasant one and she enjoys serving the needs of the community as a part of the Home-Specialists team. She feels the team is a very special group of people who work together to meet the needs of our clients in all areas of the real estate process.
